The capital city of Rajasthan is Jaipur which is also called the Pink City. It is located in the north western part of India. It attracts tourists from the world as well as from the country itself. It abounds in enchanting markets, fascinating palaces and forts and comfortable hotels to provide accommodation to all kinds of tourists.
To start with, there are three renowned forts tourists must visit. They are the Amber Fort, Nahargarh Fort and the Jai Garh Fort. These forts stand for the valour, heroism and bravery of the Rajput emperors.
The Nahargarh fort is the next attraction of Jaipur tour. It has been constructed on a steep hill. The main purpose to build the fort was to protect the city from any type of attacks. It has been named after Prince Nahar Singh who breathed his last here.
Another fort of similar importance is that of Jai Garh. This was built by Sawai Raja Jai Singh in 1726. This fort has preserves of military structures. It is constructed on hill top. The main feature of this fort is the Jaivan canon which is largest in the whole world on the wheels.
The City Palace - It has now been converted into a museum. It has both Mughal and Rajasthani architectures. At its entrance is the Jantar Mantar through which the movements of moon, sun and planets are observed. Hawa Mahal - It is a big palace with more than nine hundred windows. It is a splendid piece of architecture. The Ranthambore National Park is known for preserving tigers and other wildlife animals. For the purpose of shopping one can enjoy Bapu Bazaar, Jauhri Bazaar, Rajasthali and Nehru Bazaar.
